The Municipal library was named after the Carmelite Father Sebastiano Fantoni who created it in the XVII century. The current premises were opened in 1978.
It is a public-service library, and its users are mainly students, especially secondary-school and university students, particularly archaeology students who can benefit from a wide range of services, such as Internet points, inter-library loans and photocopies of those texts that cannot be loaned under the applicable regulations.
This wealth of books is completed by a group of approximately 6,000 ancient books, with texts dating back to the XVI, XVII and XVIII century, all very interesting for booklovers and scholars alike.
